the time is right to get into the automotive field.

The automotive industry needs people to sell cars, people to process all the
paperwork associated with those sales. The industry needs people to service
and repair the cars on the streets today. When you slow down and look at all the
jobs associated with the automotive industry, it becomes very clear as to what
an important economic impact the automotive industry has on our economy.
In Georgia, for example, over 73,000 people were employed by franchised
automotive dealerships in 2021 (based on NADA reporting). How much did that
translate to in terms of salaries? $2.2 billion.

Young people, as well as individuals looking for a change, can expand their options
and seriously consider a job in the automotive field. Doing so opens so much
more in terms of opportunity. And make no mistake – education is still key when
it comes to a successful career. It’s the reason the Metro Atlanta Automobile
Dealers Association (MAADA) operates The Academy for Automotive
Professionals. It’s the largest dealer-owned automotive training operation of

its kind in the United States, providing training for aspiring automotive
professionals in the areas of sales, management, and fixed operations.
