s it does each year, the Greater Atlanta Automotive Media Association
A(GAAMA) gathered at the Atlanta International Auto Show to evaluate
the many vehicles presented by the show’s participating manufacturers.
Those vehicles competed in six categories: Best Green, Best SUV/Crossover,
Best Luxury, Best Truck, Best Performance, and Biggest Bang for the Buck.
Additionally, Judges’ Choice was awarded for the vehicle that stood out among
the crowd, combining excellent form, function, and technology to offer consumers a
truly comprehensive package.

Prior to the public opening of the show, the GAAMA team of judges circulated the show floor,
climbing in and out of the many cars, SUVs, and pickup trucks on display. They looked under
the hoods, checked out cargo space, and evaluated fit and finish, narrowing their choices as
they went.

The GAAMA judges represent various segments of automotive journalism, including print,
radio, social media, and blogs. “We had to make some tough choices among all the vehicles
on display in 2020,” remarked GAAMA President Daryl Killian. “We agreed the winners
demonstrate some of the best new car options for the motoring public,” he added.

Taking top overall honors with the Judges’ Choice Award was
GMC with the 2021 Yukon Denali.

The awards were presented at GAAMA’s 2020 Annual Meeting that took place at the show.

GAAMA’s objective is to further professionalism of the automotive media, provide a forum for newsworthy
people and products connected with the automotive industry, and to bring together people whose
activities are related to the field of automotive journalism, public relations and related fields, for the
mutual benefit of all parties.
