2024 Chevrolet
Blazer EV
The Chevrolet Blazer EV is debuting as an all-new vehicle
in 2023 as a 2024 model year. Blazer EV is a 5-seat
electric crossover that’s only available as a 4-door wagon.
Competitors include the Ford Mustang Mach-E and Tesla
Model Y. A high-performance SS trim will also be available.
Four different trims are available: 1LT, 2LT, RS and SS. Pricing
ranges from $35,000 to $45,000. Drivetrain specifics haven’t been
released, but driving range will vary from 247 to 320 miles depending
on trim, though these are GM estimates only. Front-, rear-, and all-
wheel drive will be offered. The SS trim is predicted to generate up
to 557 horsepower and 648 pound-feet of torque, and get from zero
to 60 in approximately four seconds.
Blazer EV will be set up for 11.5 kW Level 2 AC charging and 190
kW DC fast charging, with a supposed charging time of just 10
minutes for 78 miles of added range. GM’s Super Cruise semi-
autonomous driving system will also be present. On specific
roads and under certain driving conditions, Super Cruise allows
the driver to operate the vehicle “hands free.” Super Cruise can
maintain vehicle speed and can apply steering inputs for lane
centering and curves. The driver must pay attention as the system
monitors the driver’s gaze. Look away from the road for too long and
Super Cruise will issue an alert. Blazer EV is expected to go on sale
in summer of 2023. Pricing will range from $47,000 to $66,000.
