          2020 TOYOTA SUPRA SPECS
                                                                                                                 TYPE
It’s been a long, long time since a new Supra was available in the United States. In fact, it’s been 21 years. Well, the wait is over. Sport Coupe
Toyota is bringing back the Supra for the 2020 model year, and it’s a move that many have been eagerly awaiting. Based on the DRIVETRAIN
FT-1 concept, it’s the first global GR model developed by Toyota GAZOO racing. The new Supra is a two-seater, it’s driver-focused, and 3.0-liter Turbocharged
features a 3.0-liter 335-hp turbocharged inline 6-cylinder. That power is funneled through an 8-speed automatic transmission with Inline 6-cyl, 335-HP
paddle shifters and launch control, the only transmission available for the first round of production. Whether or not a manual will be 8-speed Automatic Trans-
offered on later models remains to be seen. Toyota is estimating a 0-60 time of 4.1 seconds, which is plenty quick. The suspension
is race inspired and the Supra rides on 19-inch forged alloy wheels. The rear wheels and tires are wider than on the front, a move mission w/Paddle Shift-
intended to enhance grip. There’s large brakes all around, featuring 13.7-inch rotors up front with 4-piston Brembo calipers. Aside ers & Launch Control
from the performance aspects, other features found on the new Supra are FUEL ECONOMY
keyless smart entry, dual-climate control, rear camera, and state- N/A at time
of-the-art multimedia and connectivity, among others. of publication
Toyota’s goal was to create a new Supra that could BASE PRICE
double as an every-day sports car and an occasional
track car, and it appears that all the elements $50,000 est.
necessary to achieve that goal are in place.
